Welcome to 5o'clock Somewhere Beach House, our four-bedroom, dog-friendly vacation rental in Silver Strand, Oxnard. With two living rooms, a rooftop fire pit, and a covered patio for meals outside, the house gives your family room to spend time together and room to do your own thing.
At Chic Beach Vacations, we want you to feel comfortable asking questions before you arrive and at home once you get here. We’re a family-owned business hosting guests since 2017, and we love helping visitors get to know this part of the coast.
STAY CLOSE ENOUGH TO COME AND GO
A beach day feels different when getting there doesn’t involve loading everyone into the car.
From the house, cross Ocean Drive, a residential street, and follow the beach passage to Silver Strand Beach. Head out for a morning walk, come home for breakfast, and go back when everyone is ready. If someone needs lunch, a forgotten towel, or an afternoon rest, the house is nearby.
Silver Strand is a residential beach neighborhood with year-round neighbors, surfers checking the waves, and people out walking their dogs. It’s a place to settle into a routine for a few days rather than rush through a checklist.
The beach is known for surfing, so waves and ocean conditions vary. Check conditions before entering the water, especially with children.
A HOUSE THAT WORKS FOR A FAMILY VACATION
Traveling together doesn’t mean everyone wants the same schedule. The upstairs and downstairs living rooms make that easier: a movie in one room, a book in the other, and space to gather when it’s time to eat.
The fully stocked kitchen has a coffee station and space to prepare meals. Keep breakfast simple, make sandwiches before heading outside, or cook dinner together. Central A/C keeps the house comfortable on warmer days.
There are four bedrooms, with two on each floor:
• Three bedrooms with king beds.
• One bedroom with two twin beds.
• Two additional queen sleeper sofas, one in each living room.
The home accommodates up to 10 guests. Linens and pillows are provided for all beds and sleeper sofas.
Two full bathrooms—one on each level—and an upstairs powder room help everyone get ready without waiting on a single bathroom. Fresh towels and essential bath amenities are provided. A full-size washer and dryer are available for beach clothes and longer stays.
DINNER ON THE PATIO AND THEN UPSTAIRS TO THE FIRE PIT
Pick up groceries, put something on the gas BBQ, and sit down together on the private covered patio. You can take your time over dinner without gathering everyone for a restaurant reservation.
Later, bring your drinks up to the rooftop deck. Adirondack chairs surround the gas fire pit, string lights run overhead, and there are ocean glimpses beyond the neighboring rooftops. It’s an easy place to finish the day and decide whether tomorrow calls for another beach morning or an outing around the harbor.
There is no outdoor hot tub at this home.
GET TO KNOW OXNARD AND THE SURROUNDING COAST
You don’t need to plan every hour, but there’s plenty to explore when you want a change from the beach.
Nearby Channel Islands Harbor offers waterfront dining and opportunities to get out on the water. Depending on the season and provider schedules, you can look into kayaking, paddleboarding, boat outings, or whale-watching excursions.
Spend another day exploring Ventura’s downtown and harbor, or keep your plans closer to home with a neighborhood walk and an afternoon on the sand. A car is useful for groceries and outings around Oxnard and Ventura.

BRING THE LITTLE ONES AND THE DOG
A Pack ’n Play, high chair, and baby monitor are available upon request at no additional charge. Let us know before arrival so we can prepare for your family.
Dogs are welcome for $25 per dog, per stay. Dogs must be clean and on flea control. Cats are not permitted.
PARKING AND PLANNING YOUR ARRIVAL
The house has parking for a maximum of four vehicles: one in the garage and three in the driveway. Street parking is not available for your stay, and additional vehicles cannot be accommodated on the property. Please coordinate vehicles with your group before arrival.
After booking, you’ll receive a message asking you to confirm your reservation and digitally sign our occupancy agreement. Completing the agreement triggers delivery of your Guest Portal and check-in information. Check-in information cannot be released until the agreement is signed.
Your entry code becomes available in your Guest Portal 48 hours before check-in. Early check-in options appear five days before arrival; early check-in and late checkout cost extra and depend on availability.
Optional services, such as a private chef, massage session, or boat tour, are charged separately and depend on provider availability. Pricing will be confirmed before you commit.
ENJOY THE NEIGHBORHOOD WITH US
Our neighbors live here year-round, and we appreciate your help keeping Silver Strand comfortable for everyone.
The neighborhood has a strict no-noise covenant after 10 p.m. Please bring outdoor conversations indoors and turn off outdoor music by that time, including on the rooftop deck and patio. Evenings can continue quietly inside, with sound kept from disturbing neighboring homes.
We update our photos regularly, although bedcovers, lamps, plants, and other décor may change with cleaning or replacement. Wine, cheese, and similar styling items are not included unless specifically stated. If something differs from the listing, please send our team a photo and message promptly so we can address your concern.

Cancellation Policy
One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $99.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 10 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 10 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued. Grace period with free cancellation (no cancellation fees or partial refunds possible) for 24 hours after booking if arrival is at least 25 hours away at time of booking.
