Pierpont Beach in Ventura is a place to enjoy the ordinary pleasures of a coastal holiday: a morning walk, coffee before the day gets busy, and a home close enough to the sand that you can go back whenever you fancy it.
All our Ventura and Oxnard homes are walkable to the beach. In Pierpont, we offer both family beach houses and smaller lofts, so you can choose a stay around the people coming and the pace you want. Here are five ways to enjoy the neighborhood and the wider Ventura area.
1. Let the beach become part of the day
A beach visit can be the whole morning or a short walk before breakfast. You can take a book, enjoy the surf from the sand, or head out again later to see what the sunset is doing.
Being nearby gives you room to change the plan. Someone can go home for lunch or a rest while others enjoy a little longer outside. You do not have to organize every visit as an all-day event.
For current access and local details, use the City of Ventura’s beach information. Let the conditions and the people with you guide the day’s activities.
2. Add a park or picnic stop
Marina Park, at the southern end of Pierpont Boulevard, is an option for a waterfront park outing. Check the city’s current information and the route from your home before deciding whether to walk or drive.
You can also consider San Buenaventura State Beach for a beach-and-picnic day. A packed lunch, an extra layer, and time to enjoy the coast can be enough of a plan.
3. Spend an afternoon at Ventura Harbor Village
Ventura Harbor Village is a separate outing from the neighborhood, with waterfront walking, little shops, and casual places to stop for something to eat.
Lisa particularly recommends Le Petit Café & Bakery for coffee or a meal overlooking the harbor. It is the sort of stop where sitting outside and taking your time can be the point of the visit.

4. Leave time to browse downtown Ventura
Downtown offers a different afternoon: outdoor tables, little shops, vintage and thrift browsing, and places to find a small gift or something for your home. Plan the journey separately from your Pierpont beach walk.
For brunch or lunch, Café Nouveau on Thompson Boulevard is one of Lisa’s favorites, particularly for its beautiful outdoor dining space. It is a separate stop from the downtown shopping streets.
Our Explore Ventura magazine offers more local ideas. Choose something that appeals to your group, then leave time to enjoy it without rushing to the next stop.
5. Make yourself comfortable at the house
A kitchen, shared living area, and the right bedroom arrangement give you space for family time between outings. Breakfast can happen at your own pace, and dinner can be something you cook together or bring home.
Our Pierpont homes include Written in the Sand Beach House, Written in the Stars Beach House, Wishing Well Vacation Beach House, and Seashells by the Sea Shore Beach House. The Ventura Beach Lofts offer smaller options near the beach.
Tell us about stairs, parking, and the beds your group needs. Each home has its own layout and features, and we can help you compare the current details before you choose.
